During our stint in the Quad Cities television market, there actually was a lead story on one of the local newscasts that went something like this, “Dog lost near lock and dam, we’ll have team coverage.” When stations have 90 minutes to fill at dinnertime and add two hours of local cut-aways in the AM, plus a night-night 30 minute cast in the evening, they quickly run out of things to position as “breaking news”. Yet, even with the continuing cutbacks on staff, they find ways to use those microwave trucks!

This comic really doesn’t pertain at all to Brandon. I read an article about how some CEOs refuse to hire Gen Ys because they are high maintenance and not very loyal and thought it would make a funny strip. Brandon agreed to play the part.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends the other night and I came home to find “snow on the roof”. Lemarre’s recollections tie to a real person from my past. I -do- think about him whenever I see someone in the same uncomfortable position.
