About

We grew up with the comics. Sunday’s were a treat because after church we would dig into the Detroit Free Press Funnies section. We were fans of the DC super heroes. And every time Charles Schulz came out with a new Peanuts treasury, it found its way into our library. For a long time, it seemed like life was something that happened with three panels and a punch line.

I was an impatient kid and didn’t take the time to learn to draw very well, let alone build any motor skills to write with pen and paper. So the thought of being able to emulate my comic book heroes went to the back burner.

When Bitstrips launched on March 8, 2008, that all changed. And now, when something inane strikes me, I can quickly translate it to my own brand of funny paper.

Life is Comic is a family affair. Everyone contributes, especially Brandon, who has his own bitstrips account and creates art from his unique perspective.
